ABOUT THE RETREAT
Led by Lab founder Yorgos Karamalegos, the Physical Lab Retreat is the biggest LAB event of the year—an international mentorship open to actors and performers worldwide who are committed to deepening their craft and elevating their work. Join participants from London, Paris, Vienna, New York, Los Angeles, and beyond in what many Labbers describe as “a great and safe place to research, try things out, not know, fail, and step out of your comfort zone.”
Actors will collaborate closely with Yorgos to gain a deeper understanding of their strengths and clarify their career aspirations.
PRESENCE IN AUTHENTICITY
Dedicated to cultivating presence and authenticity in performance, this work is a journey toward uncovering one’s most authentic self and embodying a free, uninhibited artistic spirit.
Through embodiment practices and deconditioning, participants explore presence while releasing ingrained acting habits. Actors are guided to shed societal and cultural conditioning, opening the door to a state of performance in which body, mind, emotion, voice, language, and instinct flow together in harmony.
The aim is simple yet profound: performance rooted in truth, and presence arising from one’s deepest essence.

We have a cancellation policy of three weeks prior to the start of the Lab for short workshops and one calendar month for retreats. After this, we cannot offer refunds unless another participant can be found to take the place.
