Rooted in the birthplace of Western drama, the retreat unfolds in the country that gave the world tragedy, comedy, and the foundations of theatrical form. From the ancient stages of Epidaurus Theatre to the enduring legacy of Sophocles and Euripides, Greece carries a living lineage of performance embedded in its culture and landscape. On the island of Crete, that lineage meets raw, untamed nature—dramatic gorges, vast horizons, mountain winds, and the elemental rhythm of sea and stone. This environment does more than inspire; it strips away distraction, restores instinct, and reconnects the performer to something essential and primal. Here, artistic work extends beyond the studio, supported by a land shaped by myth, intensity, and silence, offering space for genuine renewal and creative resurgence.
A Space to Deepen
Developed from the Private Mentorship Programme and led by Yorgos Karamalegos, this immersive retreat offers a personalised coaching experience designed to support and refine your artistry—set against the powerful landscape of Crete. Combining focused studio work with the space and clarity afforded by the island environment, the retreat allows for concentrated exploration of craft, creative recalibration, and meaningful artistic development.
The invitation is Authenticity & Presence
CHOOSE YOUR ACCOMMODATION — STAY LOCAL
Accommodation can be arranged for you at an additional cost, allowing for a seamless and fully supported stay. Alternatively, you’re welcome to secure your own lodging nearby. This flexibility enables you to shape the overall experience according to your preferences for comfort, privacy, and environment.
HOURS OF TARGETED TRAINING — 15+ HOURS
Each retreat includes a minimum of fifteen hours of focused working sessions with Yorgos Karamalegos. Daily training is intentionally limited to four to five hours to maintain depth, clarity, and precision without fatigue. Additional specialized sessions may be incorporated depending on your specific areas of focus.
PRIVATE TIME FOR REFLECTION — INTEGRATE
Equally important to the structured sessions is dedicated time for reflection.
