A six-day workshop dedicated to collective physical research into presence in performance, exploring the body as a dramaturgical engine. Through sensory exploration and imagination, it invites participants to expand their creative expression and generate material with freedom and intuition.
Dans une Russie au bord de l’effondrement, au début du 20e siècle, Leonid Andreyev, (auteur brillant et encore trop méconnu en Europe), contemporain de Boulgakov et Gorky, écrit cette pièce en cinq tableaux où se raconte une trajectoire de vie, comme une sublime et absurde fable de notre existence. Andreyev en profite pour y loger tous ses démons, ses peurs et ses passions. De la poésie au gouffre de l’alcoolisme, de la pauvreté suicidaire à l’illusion de la gloire… Sous le regard d’un Dieu impassible, toujours tapi dans l’ombre, nous assistons à la vie humaine et son lot d’épreuves, de joies comme de tragédies, à ses éclats pétris de certitudes et ses angoisses d’une noirceur abyssale… Cette allégorie de notre existence est enrichie par un ballet de personnages aussi grotesques que naïfs, permettant un théâtre jubilatoire, où – tant qu’on y croit – tout est permis !
Après avoir retraduit la pièce du Russe au Français, et ajouté des textes personnels afin de nourrir la dramaturgie, je me réjouis de vous proposer une semaine d’exploration de scènes choisies de La Vie Humaine afin de mette les outils du Physical Lab au service d’une dramaturgie commune.
Pendant 6 jours , nous ouvrirons une recherche physique collective autour de notre présence en jeu, du corps comme moteur dramaturgique afin de
se connecter à nos sens, à nos imaginaires, et laisser libre cours à notre créativité.
À partir d’exercices dynamiques, de partitions physiques, d’improvisations guidées et de travail sur les scènes choisies et distribuées en amont du stage, nous expérimenterons ensemble :
Tout cela avec comme socle commun cette œuvre rare d’Andreyev aussi épique que symbolique .

In a Russia on the brink of collapse at the beginning of the 20th century, Leonid Andreyev (a brilliant writer still too little known in Europe), a contemporary of Mikhail Bulgakov and Maxim Gorky, wrote this five-part play that traces the arc of a human life, like a sublime and absurd fable of our existence.
Andreyev takes the opportunity to house all his demons within it—his fears and his passions. From poetry to the abyss of alcoholism, from suicidal poverty to the illusion of glory… Under the gaze of an impassive God, always lurking in the shadows, we witness human life with its share of trials, joys and tragedies, its flashes of certainty and its anxieties of abyssal darkness.
This allegory of our existence is enriched by a ballet of characters both grotesque and naïve, creating a jubilant theatre where—as long as we believe in it—anything is possible.
Tatiana is an international artist, actress, director, and writer with performances that span France, Spain, Switzerland, & more. As an associate artist of Physical Lab, she has collaborated with Yorgos for a decade, conducting Labs together and independently.
