Born in Athens, Yorgos is an actor, director, producer and acting coach. He previously co-founded Tmesis Theatre Company and the international festival of physical theatre Physical Fest. He was a co-artistic director of both organisations until 2010.
In 2011, Yorgos created Physical Lab, and since then he has taught at LAMDA, RADA, Drama Centre of Saint Martins, & Williams College (USA).
Utilising his own performance-based methodology developed through the laboratory, Yorgos has coached acting and movement for numerous productions throughout Europe and the US. His latest theatre production Home is a multidisciplinary experimental theatre piece based on Euripides’ Medea. Yorgos played the role of the communist Nikos Mariakakis in Padelis Voulgaris's feature film The Last Note, which has won several awards in Greece and the US, and most recently he appeared in a theatrical production of Lorca's Blood Wedding, adapted and directed by George Richmond Scott, at the Omnibus Theatre in London.
His resume includes collaborations with Yoshi Oida, Lorna Marshall, Fin Walker, Nigel Charnock (DV8), Malou Airaudo & Pau Aran Gimeno (Pina Bausch Tanztheater), Tanya Khabarova (Derevo), and Linda Kerr Scott (Complicite).

Artistic Director & Lab Founder
Tatiana graduated from the National Superior Conservatoire of Dramatic Arts in Paris, France. She was born in Moscow, grew up in Spain, and is currently living and working in Paris.
She has directed and performed several plays of Nicolaï Gogol, Fabrice Melquiot, Maxim Gorky in Paris, Festival d’Avignon in France, Festival Istropolitana in Bratislava, and Physical Fest in Liverpool, UK.
She has appeared in movies such as Même Pas Mal, directed by Maxime Roy and Jeremy Trequesser, and SNO, directed by the British director William Oldroyd.
Stella was born in Crete and now lives in Germany. She graduated with a degree in Photography and Audiovisual Arts from T.E.I. of Athens. She presently works as an assistant director or production coordinator for TV shows, commercials, and theater productions.
Stella first cooperated with Yorgos as assistant director for Physical Lab's May 2019 residence in Crete.
Originally from the US, Nick is an actor, writer, and journalist based in Kyoto, Japan. As an actor, Nick trained at both RADA and LAMDA in London, the latter being where he was introduced to Yorgos and physical theatre. He has worked both regionally and locally in NYC in several Shakespeare productions including Twelfth Night, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Romeo & Juliet, and Physical Lab's own Macbeth.
As a journalist, Nick is the founder of Typed Out, a platform and podcast dedicated to expanding the boundaries of understanding & acceptance. He believes it is through art and the power of conversation that we can better understand one another.
As a writer, Nick has penned both screenplays and short stories, and is currently waist-deep in his first novel.
