Meet The Labbers

Over the years, Physical Lab has grown into an international community of artists.

Our residencies and workshops have inspired many collaborations and we're always excited to share what our team and our participants get up to outside of the lab...

Richard III

with Helena Scheuba

Helena's production of Richard is currently playing in Vienna and we're so proud to have been a part of it's development

"Our current production, „Richard III“, was workshopped in its earliest stages with the help of Physical Lab. These early days of rehearsals gave so much life to the entire project and paved the way for us to move closer and closer to a performance that is truthful, authentic and honest. That is the way I wanted to tell this story and with the help of Yorgos Karamalegos, I was able to do that. We opened on September 22nd 2017 and I am very happy to say that our shows are almost sold out and our story continues to resonate with our audiences. I personally am very grateful that, after training with Yorgos as an actress at LAMDA, he also gives me so much inspiration for my work as a director and collaborating with him pushes me to grow, to learn and to become better at what I do." -Helena

We first worked with Alistair at our 2017 Macbeth Residency in Crete. This month he'll be producing a second run of "Man-Cub" at the Kings Head Theatre in London.

The cast also features Drew and Andy who were part of this year's Summer Intensive.

If you're on our mailing list, check your inboxes for an exclusive lab discount code and a message from Alistair about the show.

Joe and Yorgos first worked together while Yorgos was teaching at the Drama Centre. He went on to do our 2016 US lab and has been a valuable part of the community ever since!

Joe is currently performing in Afterglow (off broadway) in New York- a play about relationship dynamics and "the emotional, intellectual, and physical connections between three men"
