The 2019 Crete Residency explored the text and themes of Shakespeare's Julius Caesar—a cautionary tale of power, betrayal, and political intrigue.

Playwright Harold Pinter is most known for the use of elongated pauses, and during the 2018 Crete Residency, our ensemble of actors dove into the silence of Pinter's Betrayal.

Discovering the ways in which comedy also lives in the body, our 2017 Residency examined one of Shakespeare's more light-hearted pieces and visited the forest of Arden in As You Like It.

Our 2017 artists in residence developed a site-specific production of Macbeth, in which some of the actors explored the text in their native languages such as Greek, German, French, & Estonian.

Sophocles' Antigone tells the story of a young, Greek woman who rebels against her king in order to bury the body of her brother.

Madness, betrayal, revenge. Euripides' Greek tragedy depicts the undoing of Jason and titular figure, Medea, in which impassioned love turns to insatiable bloodlust.
