A PHYSICAL LAB MENTORSHIP WITH YORGOS KARAMALEGOS
PRESENCE IN ACTING
LONDON

PROFESSIONAL LEVEL
The focus of this Mentorship is to achieve outstanding performances rooted in the actor's true spirit and authenticity. Being present requires a strong bond with oneself, educating ourselves to hold our own hand, and consciously choosing to move towards genuine expression and delivery.

As a participant, you will be invited to develop and acquire tools for embodying your inquiry—a point of being when, grounded in ethos, we allow for personal breakthroughs and transformation by embracing our strengths and taking responsibility for our weaknesses. With this foundation, we are liberated to dive into the unknown. In other words, to dive into true presence.

It's crucial for actors and artists to have clarity, meaning, and purpose when stepping into the unknown—whether it is for rehearsal or performances. Anchored in our bodies, the spirit is allowed to be free. We are allowed to step into uncertainty, where the bounds for creation are limitless.

This approach has worked for many of our dedicated professionals, resulting in exhilarating performances that are rooted in presence and essence, and recognised with world-class awards and red-carpet appearances. And while this is the ultimate goal for all of us, it is important to remember to always be kind to yourself and others every step of the way.

MENTORSHIP DETAILS
Yorgos will lead this six-day Physical Lab Mentorship in London, which will equip participants with practical tools and techniques for use on set, stage, and during auditions.

The goal is to achieve outstanding performances rooted in the actor's true spirit and authenticity.
Below is a map for our inquiry during this Mentorship:

-
Where am I on the map of my acting evolution? What are my current acting strengths and challenges?
-
What is my artistic ethos, and what is my overarching goal for my acting evolution?
-
What is the core element of this character?
-
What is the core task of this scene?
-
How is all of this coming together into a unified expression?
In this Cretan-style Mentorship, full commitment is essential. Therefore, this opportunity is tailored for professional actors who seek to elevate their skills and fully tap into their innate essence without constraints.
The schedule below ensures actors participate in multiple ensemble and one-on-one sessions.

Hover over each chapter for more information
CHAPTER I
Discover
& Master
Your Unique Acting Technique
These sessions are at the heart of our work, centred on embodiment as the basis for dialogue between coach and artist. Our focus is on uncovering each person's unique approach to acting and breaking free from societal and cultural norms, integrating body, mind, emotion, and instinct in performance seamlessly.
CHAPTER II
Workshopping for stage & screen
This chapter focuses on building skills in character building, scene analysis, and delivery. You'll work on a theatrical part and a screen part, building a character in full and filming it virtually to create a tape for your reel, agents, or social media.
CHAPTER III
Casting
This chapter prepares you to be casting ready, providing exercises to help you improve your audition skills and increase your chances of landing roles.
CHAPTER IV
Career coaching & action planning
Work with Yorgos to identify your strengths, areas for improvement, and career goals. From there, you will create a personalized action plan to help you achieve your objectives, including developing a strong personal brand, identifying your unique selling points, and creating a standout resume and portfolio. He'll also help you develop strategies for networking, auditioning, and landing roles.
CHAPTER V
Career
therapy
This chapter helps you build the mental resilience and emotional strength you need to thrive as an artist. Yorgos works with you to resolve any recurring issues or mental patterns that may be hindering your progress on stage, in rehearsals, or on set. He'll help you develop coping strategies for managing stress and anxiety, and will provide a safe and supportive space for you to work through any emotional blocks or challenges you may be experiencing.
CHAPTER VI
Preparing for
a Role
or an Audition
Yorgos has nurtured enduring relationships with actors spanning over a decade, guiding them from early aspirations to established careers, and propelled them towards leading roles and international acclaim.
